Toblerone Shortbread Cookies

If you’ve never tried Toblerone chocolate bars then this recipe is a must for you! Print Recipe Toblerone Shortbread Cookies Course Snack Prep Time 25 minutes Cook Time 45 minutes Servings dozen Ingredients 2 cup butter softened1 cup super-fine sugar3 1/2 cup flour1/2 cup cornstarch2 bars toblerone swiss milk chocolate2 tbsp sifted icing sugar Course Snack Prep Time 25 minutes Cook Time 45 minutes Servings dozen Ingredients 2 cup butter softened1 cup super-fine sugar3 1/2 cup flour1/2 cup cornstarch2 bars toblerone swiss milk chocolate2 tbsp sifted icing sugar Instructions Preheat oven to 350F. Beat butter and sugar, in large bowl with the mixer on high speed until light and fluffy. Mix flour and cornstarch in a small bowl. Gradually add the dry mixture, beating well after each addition. Chop chocolate into small pieces. Stir in chocolate. Drop by tablespoonfuls, onto baking sheets. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes about 4 dozen. Let them cool completely and then sprinkle with icing sugar. Recipe Notes  

S’mores

Don’t have a fire going? S’more lovers do not need to worry! This is a great alternative to the classic s’more, as well it’s a great recipe to get the kids involved in. Place the chocolate chips in heat proof bowl and place the jar in the water. Stir until the chocolate chips are melted and then remove from water. Place the graham crackers in a Ziplock bag and crush into a fine crumb, then transfer the crumbs to a bowl Skewer one marshmallow onto a lollipop stick, dip it in the melted chocolate, then roll it in the graham cracker crumbs. Place the s’mores on a parchment paper to dry. Recipe Notes

Homemade Marshmallows

Switch up your usual Christmas baking by trying out our homemade marshmallow recipe! Print Recipe Homemade Marshmallows Course Appetizers, Snack Servings Ingredients 3 packages unflavoured gelatin1 cup cold water1 cup corn syrup1 1/2 cup granulated sugar1/4 tsp vanilla extract1/4 tsp Kosher salt1/4 cup confectioners sugar1/4 cup cornstarch Course Appetizers, Snack Servings Ingredients 3 packages unflavoured gelatin1 cup cold water1 cup corn syrup1 1/2 cup granulated sugar1/4 tsp vanilla extract1/4 tsp Kosher salt1/4 cup confectioners sugar1/4 cup cornstarch Instructions In a bowl, place 1/2 cup of water and gelatin Over medium-high heat, combine 1/2 cup of water, sugar, corn syrup and salt. Cover and allow to cook for 3-4 minutes. Uncover, and attach a thermometer to the pan and continue to cook until it reaches 240F, (7-8mins). Remove from heat immediately after. Mixer on low speed, slowly pour the sugar syrup into gelatine mixer. Change to high speed, continue to whip for 12-15 minutes. The mixture should be warm and very thick. Add sugar and cornstarch mixture to pan and shift around until it’s completely covered. Return rest of mixture to bowl for later use. Pour Mixture into the pan using a lightly oiled spatula to spread evenly. Dust the top with remaining sugar and cornstarch mixture. Recipe Notes

Yum! Chocolate and almond bark is definitely a recipe you need to try this holiday season, it will easily become one of your top go to’s. Print Recipe Chocolate & Almond Bark Course Appetizers Prep Time 15 minutes Cook Time 30 minutes Servings Meal Cubes Ingredients 1/2 cup chopped almonds2 cup milk chocolate chips1 tbsp shortening Course Appetizers Prep Time 15 minutes Cook Time 30 minutes Servings Meal Cubes Ingredients 1/2 cup chopped almonds2 cup milk chocolate chips1 tbsp shortening Instructions Line a 9x13in baking pan with parchment paper and set aside. Put chopped almonds in a pan. Cook, stirring often over medium high heat, until golden brown and remove from heat. In metal bowl over a pan of simmering water, melt chocolate chips and shortening until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in half the toasted almonds. Spread onto the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle with remaining almonds, and chill 30 minutes, or until solid. Break into bite-sized pieces. Recipe Notes

Then butter and flour a 8in square pan. Lightly melt butter and stir in sugars, eggs and vanilla. Beat in cocoa powder, flour, salt and baking powder. Spread batter into pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Allow brownies to cool for 15 minutes and then cut not triangles. Put your icing into a plastic bag and cut off a small piece of the corner, making a piping bag. Break off the curved part of the candy cane and stick the straight [iece into the bottom of the “tree”. Now it’s time to decorate however you wish with assorted candies! Recipe Notes

Please be sure to head over to her website for some healthy recipe inspiration https://www.annaliisakapp.com/ Course Snack Prep Time 120 Minutes Servings Meal Cube Ingredients 1 Cup Raw cashew4 Cup Beet Root Peeled, cut into little cubes2 garlic cloves With skin1.5 lemon 1 Tbsp, 1/4 lemon juice, 1tsp zest1 Tbsp Apple cider vinegar2 Tbsp Camelina oil1 Tbsp Camelina oil2 Tbsp Orange Juice3 Tbsp Orange Juice3 Tbsp water1/4 Tsp sea salt1/4 Tsp Dried Dill4 basil leaves Course Snack Prep Time 120 Minutes Servings Meal Cube Ingredients 1 Cup Raw cashew4 Cup Beet Root Peeled, cut into little cubes2 garlic cloves With skin1.5 lemon 1 Tbsp, 1/4 lemon juice, 1tsp zest1 Tbsp Apple cider vinegar2 Tbsp Camelina oil1 Tbsp Camelina oil2 Tbsp Orange Juice3 Tbsp Orange Juice3 Tbsp water1/4 Tsp sea salt1/4 Tsp Dried Dill4 basil leaves Instructions Soak raw cashews in 2 cups of room temperature water for at least 20 minutes (or maximum 4 hours). Preheat oven to 4000F. n a small bowl, mix together 1 Tbsp lemon juice, 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar, 2 Tbsp camelina oil, 1⁄4 tsp sea salt and 1⁄4 tsp dried dill. Place cut up beet root and garlic cloves (in their skin) into a baking dish and pour oil mixture over beets. Toss well and roast for 60 minutes or until tender. Drain cashews in a sieve and rinse. Put into a food processor or high speed blender along with 1⁄4 cup lemon juice, 2 Tbsp orange juice, 1 Tbsp camelina oil, 3 Tbsp water, 1⁄4 tsp sea salt and basil leaves. Blend until smooth. Remove beets from oven and add to cashew mix. Remove garlic skin and add to blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy. You may have to stop the blender or food processor a few times to scrape down the sides and then continue blending until you have a smooth consistency. Chop pistachios and extra basil leaves for garnish and serve with Mary’s Crackers or your favourite veggie strips. Recipe Notes cashew-beet-dip
