Recipe of the Week- Applesauce


Apple Puree

(6+ Months-Add Cinnamon if over 8 Months)


6 apples

½  cup water (just enough to cover the bottom of the dish, apples don’t have to be covered)

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

2. Core apples.

3. Cut the apples in big chunks and put them in a baking dish.

4. Add just enough water to cover the bottom of the dish.

5. Bake for 30 minutes.

6. Peel off the skins.

7. Puree in a food processor or blender adding breast milk or water as needed.

8. Pour into Wean Cubes.

Remember to check the temperature before serving.

Store the leftovers in the fridge for 3 days or the freezer for 6 months.

Yields Approximately: 2 cups (500ml)
