Black bean salad is one of my favorite go-to recipes for make ahead lunches. Not only is it made of almost all Weight Watcher power foods, but it is also very filling so I don’t get hungry mid-afternoon. I pulled this recipe from SkinnyTaste which is a great site that has a variety of recipes as well as the nutritional breakdown and Weight Watchers points per serving. This delicious recipe is one 2 points per 1/2 cup serving. I usually put 1 cup in my Wean Green Lunch Cube and take this for a filling lunch. I am able to label all my Wean Green containers with marker so that I can see the number of points in each container.
I have been on Weight Watchers for several months now and I have been using Wean Green to help me keep my portions on track. Wean Green containers are great because they have a variety of sizes that can fit all of my meals and keep them fresh. Since they are made from tempered glass I can write in marker the points per container and easily wash the marker off when I am done with the serving. Another cool trick I learned is to color code the lids depending on the amount of Weight Watcher points per container. This makes it super easy to pre portion a bunch of snacks and meals and then be able to pull them by color instead of having to look the points up each time. I will be posting my favorite portion control meals every second tuesday with points and description, so keep your eyes peeled if you want to portion control with Wean Green!
