If you’ve never tried Toblerone chocolate bars then this recipe is a must for you! Beat butter and sugar, in large bowl with the mixer on high speed until light and fluffy. Mix flour and cornstarch in a small bowl. Gradually add the dry mixture, beating well after each addition. Chop chocolate into small pieces. Stir in chocolate. Drop by tablespoonfuls, onto baking sheets. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes about 4 dozen. S’mores

Don’t have a fire going? S’more lovers do not need to worry! This is a great alternative to the classic s’more, as well it’s a great recipe to get the kids involved in. Place the chocolate chips in heat proof bowl and place the jar in the water. Stir until the chocolate chips are melted and then remove from water. Place the graham crackers in a Ziplock bag and crush into a fine crumb, then transfer the crumbs to a bowl Skewer one marshmallow onto a lollipop stick, dip it in the melted chocolate, then roll it in the graham cracker crumbs. In metal bowl over a pan of simmering water, melt chocolate chips and shortening until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in half the toasted almonds. Spread onto the prepared baking pan. Then butter and flour a 8in square pan. Lightly melt butter and stir in sugars, eggs and vanilla. Beat in cocoa powder, flour, salt and baking powder. Spread batter into pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Allow brownies to cool for 15 minutes and then cut not triangles. Put your icing into a plastic bag and cut off a small piece of the corner, making a piping bag. Break off the curved part of the candy cane and stick the straight [iece into the bottom of the “tree”. Now it’s time to decorate however you wish with assorted candies! Recipe Notes

A great twist on our favourite popcorn twists or puffs. Adding a homemade caramel sauce creates a tasty treat that you can’t step away from. Next, using a saucepan cook together for 2 minutes the butter, brown sugar and corn syrup. Add baking soda to the mixture, which will cause it to foam. Allow the foam to cook down slightly and remove from heat. Pour caramel mixture over popcorn twists and stir until evenly mixed. Place in oven for 45 minutes, stirring at least every 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven and pour onto wax paper, allow to cool slightly and break apart. Recipe Notes

Preheat oven to 4000F. n a small bowl, mix together 1 Tbsp lemon juice, 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar, 2 Tbsp camelina oil, 1⁄4 tsp sea salt and 1⁄4 tsp dried dill. Place cut up beet root and garlic cloves (in their skin) into a baking dish and pour oil mixture over beets. Toss well and roast for 60 minutes or until tender. Drain cashews in a sieve and rinse. Put into a food processor or high speed blender along with 1⁄4 cup lemon juice, 2 Tbsp orange juice, 1 Tbsp camelina oil, 3 Tbsp water, 1⁄4 tsp sea salt and basil leaves. Blend until smooth. Remove beets from oven and add to cashew mix. Remove garlic skin and add to blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy. You may have to stop the blender or food processor a few times to scrape down the sides and then continue blending until you have a smooth consistency. Chop pistachios and extra basil leaves for garnish and serve with Mary’s Crackers or your favourite veggie strips. Recipe Notes cashew-beet-dip
